Although it was danced by 5 to 8 dancers, and included tambourines, it is now popularly
danced in a set of eight. This version is a popular one, taught by Mike Salter, and does
not follow the original notation

- Two steps to pass partner's right shoulder, turn sharply 90 degrees right, then use six
steps to describe a large loop to the left, ending in partner's position. With stick over
right shoulder, and surge towards partner, engaging them in left-arm swing, for two turns,
ending in original position.

- Even side hold stick in groin, pointing up about 45 degrees. Partners hold stick
double-handed at bottom and clash their partner's stick with seven fast clashes. Right -
